Save for America Contest

This year’s contest is called It Pays to $ave and Get Good GrAdes. This contest was created not only to encourage kids to develop the habit of saving money, but also to motivate them to do well in school.

The contest is open to all students in the elementary schools participating in the “SAVE FOR AMERICA” school savings program.

Rules & Regulations

To enter the contest students must have a student savings account. Every time students bank in school their name gets entered into the raffle. The more times you bank, the better chance you have to win.

Prizes

Prizes are awarded for each participating elementary school in the school systems of Franklin, Bellingham, Blackstone, and Millville. Three winners from each school are pulled from a raffle and awarded a $50.00 Series EE Savings Bond. The three winners from each school are awarded $5.00 for each “A” or equivalent high mark, up to a limit of 5 high marks, that they receive on their final report card. High marks from any area of the report card, including academics, effort, and behavior, may all qualify.

Contest Dates

The contest begins on the first day of banking and concludes the last day in May. Winners are announced to the schools by the beginning of June. The winners receive their Savings Bond certificate by mail with a congratulatory letter and instructions. Parents will have until the first business day of September to redeem their child's certificate and bring their child's report card to one of our Dean Bank Offices. At that time, the $5.00 per "A" or equivalent high mark, up to a limit of 5 high marks, will be deposited into the student's savings account.
