Risk Manager/BSA And Security Officer
Dean Bank seeks an experienced Risk Manager/BSA and Security Officer. The position plans, organizes and implements the Bank’s comprehensive risk management, bank security and bank secrecy act activities and coordinates efforts to control or mitigate risk relating to business continuity planning, privacy, physical security and fraud claims against the Bank.  

The incumbent will coordinate risk and security efforts under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with the Bank’s Director of Compliance. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Develops and administers programs that ensure compliance relating to minimizing risk, bank secrecy and bank security. Monitors changes and pending changes in banking regulations and addresses their impact on the Bank. 

Researches regulations and determines impact upon Bank operations. Recommends and implements changes to support compliance efforts.  Serves as the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) coordinator. Reviews currency transaction reports, wire transfer logs and prepares and files suspicious activity reports. Develops staff training curricula, establishes training schedules and conducts internal training sessions.

Develops and reviews reports to detect fraudulent account activity and/or money laundering or other illegal activities, including robbery response and employee defalcation situations.

Provides management and the Board of Directors with summaries and interpretations of regulations. Generates management reports, including the annual reports to the Board of Directors.

Assists the Network Security Officer in detecting and logging unusual and unauthorized access to network systems.

Serves as the Bank’s Security Officer. Manages physical building security including alarms, video surveillance, locks, keys, passwords, security codes, etc. Develops and presents appropriate security training curricula to employees.  Manages activities in response to bank robberies and any other security-related events.

Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree and specialized computer and compliance training. At least five years progressively responsible experience in a financial services environment.  Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, presentation and computer skills, including at least intermediate word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software expertise. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment, organize and establish priorities. 

Teller Positions
Full and part-time teller positions are occasionally available at various branch offices for highly motivated individuals with strong interpersonal skills. Applicants must be committed to providing outstanding customer service (with a smile) and have a mature, friendly manner. Direct customer contact and/or cash handling experience are preferred. Teller positions generally require some regularly scheduled Saturdays.

Mendon Branch
Thurs 8:00 – 2:00 6.00 hrs
