All Deposits Insured in Full

At Dean Bank every deposit is insured in full. The FDIC insures each depositor for at least $250,000. The Share Insurance Fund (SIF) of The Co-operative Central Bank insures all deposits in excess of this amount.

Reorder Checks Online

Reorder your checks online directly through Deluxe® if you are an existing customer and have placed a previous check order with Deluxe. Standard checks are always FREE with a Free Checking Account, but must be ordered by a Bank Representative. For free standard checks, please call your local branch. For all other check styles and accessories, you may place an order in any of our branches or order online here.

Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit provides convenient, safe and secure deposit of government, payroll or other recurring checks.

Courtesy Overdraft

This automatic feature may save you the embarrassment and hassle of returned checks. Here is how it works.

Overdraft Protection - Personal Line of Credit (PLOC)

Available with Basic Checking and NOW Checking accounts, a PLOC protects you against bounced check charges and gives you a pre-approved credit limit to make purchases for more than the balance in your checking account. An annual fee and interest rate apply.

Draw Accounts

Use the balance in your other deposit accounts with Dean Bank as a draw account, providing overdraft protection for your checking account. There is a fee for transfers which is less costly than an overdraft fee or the embarrassment of a bounced check.

Alternative Hold Account

Dean Bank offers next day availability*; however, you may wish to assign one of your savings accounts to your checking account as an Alternative Hold Account. Anytime you make a check deposit, the hold may be placed on the Alternative Hold Account providing immediate availability in your checking account (provided there is a sufficient balance in the Alternative Hold Account to cover the deposited check). You may assign multiple Alternative Hold Accounts to one checking account.

Safe Deposit Boxes

Night Depository

All of our branch offices offer the convenience of a night deposit, allowing deposits or loan payments to be dropped off outside of our usual banking hours or if you’re simply too busy to stop in the lobby.

Series EE and Series I U.S. Savings Bonds are available for purchase at all of our branches. Or, you can purchase them online at your convenience.

American Express® Gift Cheques & Travelers Cheques

Give the gift of choice and keep your money safe while you’re on the road. American Express® Gift and Travelers Cheques are accepted at thousands of locations worldwide, are replaceable if lost or stolen, usually within 24 hours, do not expire, and are offered in a variety of denominations.

Wire Transfers

Send or receive funds via Fedwire within the United States. Foreign wires must be sent through an intermediary U.S. bank.

Notary Public Services

We employ multiple notary publics in each of our branch offices to assist you with administering oaths and affirmations, taking affidavits, witnessing and authenticating the execution of certain classes of documents, and more, free of charge.

Medallion Signature Guarantee

If you hold a physical securities certificate form and want to transfer or sell them, you will need to sign the certificates or securities powers and will probably need to get your signature "guaranteed" before a transfer agent will accept the transaction. Let us help protect you by guaranteeing your signature, making it harder for someone to forge it. This service is only available to customers and is free of charge.
