FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS, April, 2008 … Wayne A. Cottle, President and CEO of Dean Bank, announced that Dean Bank will join community bankers throughout the nation during the month of April to participate in Community Banking Month, which celebrates community banks for all they do to keep our nation’s communities strong and vital. This year, as in the past, community bankers across the nation will make a combined effort to discuss with the public the important economic and social contribution their banks make in their hometowns.
As part of this month-long celebration, Dean Bank will be hosting Customer Appreciation Days in each of its Branch Office lobbies throughout the month of April. “It’s our way of thanking customers for putting their money to work right here at home,” Wayne Cottle said. “When you put your money in a community bank, you help your friends and neighbors develop small business, run family farms, purchase homes, finance college and build financial security. That’s because community banks like Dean Bank put communities and people first. We appreciate your business and your trust in us. Together we keep America’s economy strong.”
Community banks are independent, and locally operated institutions. About 8,000 community banks across America today are recognized for personalized individual service, low fees, and focus on the local economy.
