Dean Bank donates to United Chamber of Commerce
FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS, November 30, 2006

Wayne A. Cottle, President and CEO of Dean Bank, announced today that the bank donated over $450 to the United Chamber of Commerce, thanks to customers who invested in the Dean Bank Taste of the Region Certificate of Deposit Special last year. In November of 2005, the bank promoted a unique Certificate of Deposit at the United Chamber of Commerce’s popular Taste of the Region Event. The CD offered investors a competitive rate while the bank pledged to donate an amount equal to half a percent of the total deposits in this product to the Chamber when the CDs matured ten months later. The more customers invested into the product, the more the Bank would give to the Chamber, making it a financial win for both the customer and the Chamber. Dean Bank presented the United Chamber with the check at this year’s Taste of the Region Event, where a similar CD Special was promoted to benefit the Chamber once again.

Dean Bank, founded in 1889, is a Massachusetts state-chartered, mutually owned institution with assets in excess of $200 million. The bank has offices located in Franklin, Blackstone, Bellingham, and Mendon and a full-service educational and training facility at Tri-County Regional Vocational High School in Franklin. As a member of both the FDIC and the SIF, the bank’s deposits are insured in full.
