New Mendon Office

FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS, April 6, 2006

Wayne A. Cottle, President and CEO of Dean Bank, announced today that that the bank will be opening a new full-service branch and 24 hour ATM in Mendon. Dean Bank’s Mortgage & Loan Center, which has been established in the Country Hill Plaza on Route 16 since February 2005, is currently closed while the location is under construction. The existing facility is being expanded for a full-service branch that is expected to open this spring. At the same time, a 24-hour drive-up ATM will also go up in the corner of the plaza’s parking lot closest to Millville Street for convenient access from Route 16.

For many existing Dean Bank customers who live in Mendon and the surrounding towns, this new full-service branch is highly anticipated. The bank has already been met with positive response from Mendon’s business community. “Dean Bank has gone above and beyond during this transition period,” said Dottie Milanoski, owner of the Country Hill Plaza. “My experience with Dean Bank has always been pleasant and professional. It is a people friendly bank.” Shenanagain’s Café owner, Nancy Albee also commented, “Another full-service bank is needed in Mendon and I am looking forward to Dean Bank’s arrival.” Jeremy Stewart, neighbor to Dean Bank in the Country Hill Plaza as owner of Airport Video stated that the bank’s new branch and ATM will not only be an asset to the plaza, but will provide valuable service to the entire Mendon community.

Dean Bank, founded in 1889, is a Massachusetts state-chartered, mutually owned institution with assets in excess of $200 million. The bank has offices located in Blackstone, Franklin and Bellingham, and a full-service educational and training facility at Tri-County Regional Vocational High School in Franklin. A new full-service branch is planned to open in Mendon this spring in the Country Hill Plaza location where the bank’s Mortgage & Loan Center has been open since February of 2005. As a member of the FDIC and a member of the SIF, the bank’s deposits are insured in full.
