Dean Bank celebrated the opening of its new full-service branch in the Country Hill Plaza at 32 Hastings Street (Route 16) in Mendon with an official ribbon cutting ceremony the morning of Thursday, May 25th. Wayne Cottle, President and CEO, addressed Dean Bank employees, board members, and Mendon town officials who all gathered inside the spacious new lobby for the grand occasion.

“Some time ago, Dean Bank identified Mendon as a community with a great amount of synergy with the communities where the bank's existing offices are; those being the communities of Blackstone, Bellingham and Franklin. Its synergy is not just geographic; it is the nature of the community as well. We have been careful where we have located our banking offices to be certain they are in communities that match the bank's business plan. We do not want to bring just a banking office to a community; we also want to bring a good corporate neighbor and citizen to the community. We have already discovered your schools; we have introduced our school savings program in your elementary schools. We have also already discovered your soccer fields and have distributed nearly 500 soccer balls to the youngsters involved in the Mendon-Upton Youth Soccer Association. Both programs have been extremely well received. We hope to discover many more things about your community and look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with your community. It is my hope that the Mendon community will soon discover Dean Bank as well and will equally enjoy a long and rewarding relationship with us. We are thrilled to be able to be a part of Mendon.”
This ribbon cutting ceremony signified that the doors of Dean Bank’s Mendon office are now open for business. Hours are Monday Wednesday 8:30 4:30, Thursday & Friday 8:30 6:30, and Saturdays 8:30 noon. Dean Bank will celebrate its Grand Opening of the Mendon branch between Thursday, June 1 and Saturday, June 10 by offering special rates on both CDs and loans. Those who open a Free Checking Account in Mendon during those 10 days will also receive a free gift.
The Mendon branch is wrapping up its Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 10th with a Family Fun Day at the new office. Free to the public, there will be food, games, prizes and drawings for gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses. For kids, there will be Southwicks Zoo animals and a balloon clown.
