President's Message November 2016

Administrator

As 2016 Holiday Season approaches, I join with the Management and Staff of Dean Bank in wishing our customers and neighbors, family and friends a Happy Thanksgiving as well as Season’s Greetings.  Whether it’s “Merry Christmas”, “Happy Chanukah” or simply “Happy Holidays”...the sentiment behind the words remains. We deeply appreciate your continued confidence in us and want you to know that your business is valued by every Dean Bank employee every day.  Accept our best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

Dean Bank deeply appreciates the confidence that our customers, both new and old, have shown in us.  Our customer surveys solidly indicate that our customers value our brand of service and our goal is to retain that high level of satisfaction.

You may feel excitement or uncertainty about what the coming year has in store financially.  Whatever your thoughts, positive signs in key areas of the economy are present.  Interest rates remain very low, keeping the cost of borrowing affordable for large purchases and making home refinance or ownership possible.  The unemployment rate continues its steady decline.  The housing market continues to stabilize, with consistently raising homes values across the region.

Dean Bank remains committed to prudent banking practices, local leadership, state of the art products and practical lending services for both consumers and businesses alike.  Since 1889, our customers have always been able to enjoy a personal relationship with a locally-managed, community-focused mutual bank.

Please be aware that in an effort to provide our employees to opportunity to enjoy their Christmas Holiday, all branches will be closed on Saturday December 24th and Monday December 26th

Please stop in at any of our branch offices over the next few weeks to see what they are doing to make the Holidays better for individuals and families in Franklin, Bellingham, Blackstone and Mendon.  A list of individual support efforts can be found below.  If you’re able to help, we’re most appreciative of the support.

  • Our Franklin Branch will be supporting Friends of Franklin.  Come by between November 22nd & December 9th and pick an angel off the tree.  Help make a family’s holiday  brighter.
  • Our Mendon Branch will be collecting used eyeglasses to support the Mendon Lions Club’s efforts.
  • Our Bellingham Branch is partnering with the Loaves and Fishes food pantry, a group serving 500 area children & families throughout the year.  A collection box is there now and toy donations are gratefully accepted until Dec. 5th.
  • Finally, our Blackstone Branch is again partnering with the Town of Blackstone by placing a “Giving Tree” in their lobby.  Residents may stop in between November 25th and December 16th to pick up a tag and purchase a gift for a local child or family.

Once again…Happy Holidays to you and yours from all of us at Dean Bank.

Sincerely,

Kevin Goffe
President & CEO
