Dean Bank enters new era of banking as Bellingham Branch renovations end

As the President & CEO of Dean Bank I am constantly looking towards the future, envisioning where our bank is headed while staying true to the principles upon which the bank was founded.  This is particularly true this month as Dean Bank completes its extensive renovation of both our Bellingham Branch and the Dean Bank Plaza located at 411 Pulaski Blvd.  

We’re excited to welcome customers and visitors to the bank’s newly renovated Bellingham Branch; a location designed with today’s bank consumer in mind.  It features an entirely new teller experience with a traditional and fundamental banking component now removed; the teller line!  Customers can now have an interactive and more personal banking experience as the new branch uses state-of-the art cash recyclers and replaces the large teller desk with a pod design.  Staff has been thoroughly cross-trained on all branch functions and can provide a variety of services at the pod, including account opening, loan applications, account maintenance and much more.  This streamlines the process and provides a one-stop experience, eliminating the hand-off from one employee to another and saving you time.  As our new brand messaging proclaims: Problem Solved! 

The branch interior features an entirely new design and layout, which will improve the overall experience for bank customers.  We’ve added a café area with complimentary coffee or tea and comfortable seating in a lounge environment.  It has also been equipped with a technology section where customers can charge their mobile devices, take advantage of free Wi-Fi and test-drive the bank’s new electronic services on an iPad®.  Office privacy has been enhanced, new décor installed and security remains of paramount importance.  It’s important that customers know they are welcome to take a few minutes before or after their transactions are complete to explore the branch and find out how we can help improve your financial future. 

Our plaza had considerable cosmetic and structural changes as well.  Our tenants are all local businesses who have a stake in this community.  We understand that in order to thrive, they need a clean, modern and attractive plaza that gets noticed by vehicles driving by, day or night.  We feel that the enhancements do just that…provide an eye-catching new look to the thousands of potential customers that travel through Crooks Corner every day.  A new digital Message Center has replaced the outdated version that served us for over a decade, providing passers-by with important product information, community events and the current time, date and temperature. 

We remain committed to continuing to improve the “Dean Bank Experience” across all our delivery channels and are confident that these changes will add convenience, speed and accuracy to your next visit.  We hope you enjoy the improvements that have been made and look forward with anticipation to future improvements to our institution.
