Dean Bank to host free mortgage workshop

BELLINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS, February, 2014 … Kevin R. Goffe, President and CEO of Dean Bank announced that an upcoming free educational mortgage workshop will be held by the lending professionals from Dean Bank’s Mortgage Department on Saturday, March 15th from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at the bank’s Bellingham Branch Office, 411 Pulaski Blvd. Speakers will include members of the Sr. Management Team, Origination and Underwriting and the opportunity to ask questions will be encouraged.

This session will provide prospective and current homeowners valuable insight into the following topics:

  • What is a Pre-Approval? Do I really need one and how does it aide the home-buying process? As an added bonus, qualified attendees will receive a free Dean Bank mortgage Pre-Approval while at the workshop.
  • Is now still the right time to refinance?
  • Understanding the basics of mortgage product options, First Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC) and more.
  • What are the best reasons to consider using my home’s equity to finance large expenses over other types of financing?
  • What are the costs associated with various types of secured real estate borrowing?
  • An in-depth question and answer session will also be held for consumers who are looking to purchase a home or have questions about their current home.
