2018 is off to a fast start and our staff has been working hard; implementing the new technology we’ve recently rolled out while getting ready to do more to improve your experience with us.

This time last year I was informing you about our data processing conversion.  We’ve been on the new system for nearly a year.  We believe that our new Online Banking and Bill Pay services, upgraded in the fall, are improvements and invite you to contact me at info at deanbank dot com with comments or concerns.  As a local mutual bank, your opinion matters.  Your opinions and needs will determine the new directions we take to serve you in the years to come.

With Presidents Day around the corner, now is a great time to remind you that a few months ago we launched our new Online Consumer Loan Application tool, found right on the Home Page of  With “as low as” rates for both new and used vehicles still at or near all-time lows, I hope that our loan application tool will arm you with financing options before you visit the dealership.  If you’ve recently bought a vehicle, contact us and let’s talk about refinancing with Dean Bank!

The next major enhancement to our electronic banking services suite is coming soon with the pending rollout of Online Deposit Account Opening.  Soon, you’ll be able to visit and open a certificate of deposit, checking account or savings product right from the comfort of your home or office.  There will be more to come from us as the rollout date nears.

Our Main Office will be undergoing expansion and modernization as renovations will be starting very soon.  It will soon be transformed to a bright and modern branch, similar to what occurred in our Bellingham Branch a few years ago.  We’ll also be adding much needed office space to serve the growing needs of our staff.  I invite you to come and check it out as the transformation occurs and I thank you in advance for your patience while renovations are occurring.

Dean Bank remains one of our area’s largest mortgage lenders.  Each year, Dean Bank receives a report that lists every mortgage loan made in our direct service area (11 nearby Massachusetts towns that include our 4 branch towns and the surrounding communities).  For the calendar year period 2017, we were ranked #7 out of more than 350 mortgage lenders, providing mortgage financing to 162 customers for a total of $36.4 million in our community.  We are very proud of this achievement and hope you’ll think of us the next time you or someone you know is looking to purchase, refinance or use a home equity product.
